Their beauty and immense power are something everyone visiting the Big Island should experience. The North and East side of the Island attracts large amounts of rain creating a lush and tropical rain forest. This is where you will be taken when you join the adventures below.

Kohala Waterfall Adventure

Immerse yourself in stunning private waterfalls, tranquil streams, scenic coastlines and rugged valleys on this North Kohala adventure. Kick off the fun with an off-road drive to an exclusive trailhead, where you’ll take a 1 mile hike on a private trail with some breathtaking views of the Pacific and Maui.

HIGHLIGHTS: 

  • Ramble off-road in a 6-wheel-drive Pinzgauer (an Austrian military vehicle)

  • Take a Relazed, guided walk through a private nature reserve.

  • Cool off with a swim under one of the seven cascading waterfalls.

  • Enjoy a private picnic lunch with views of soaring sea-cliffs and remote valleys.  

TOUR TIMES: Departs daily at 7:30AM from Kona. Pickup & Drop off at various locations along the Kohala Coast.

RESTRICTIONS: Guests should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain. We sometimes encounter cool, wet or muddy conditions. Other tour restrictions may apply.

Tour Umauma Falls & Garden

Experience the beautifully landscaped grounds for a self-guided tour through the gardens & falls of Umauma. Enjoy spectacular views of the triple-tier Umauma Falls, sit and reflect in the meditation garden, and discover the unique scents of Hawaii’s tropical flowers & trees.

Umauma Falls Zip & Dip w/ Kayaking!

How about combining a waterfall trip & zip lining? This tour of the Umauma Falls is a one-of-a-kind experience. The vast terrain you’ll cover, the breathtaking views you’ll see, and the gorgeous Waterfall dip to top it off as one of your best days in Hawai’i. What makes this even better? You have the option to Kayak and Paddle Board at the base of this waterfall!

Kohala Zip & Dip

This is another Zip & Dip Combination option, allowing you to Zipline AND visit a Waterfall. Spend an inspiring and exhilarating day in North Kohala, a land of stunning beauty and profound cultural significance. Zipline high above the forest floor, picnic with stunning views of the valleys and swim under a private waterfall fed by a cool mountain stream.

Highlights include:

  • Combine two amazing experiences into one! 

  • Stroll by secluded waterfalls in a private nature reserve, only accessible via guided tours. 

  • Enjoy a picnic lunch and swim in a private waterfall.

TOUR TIMES: 8AM

RESTRICTIONS: Guests must weight between 70 and 270 lbs. Guests must be able to walk over uneven terrain and handle a short climb. This tour is not suitable for expectant mothers.
